Descriptio Drawing on paper. Measures 46 x 63 cm. A genre scene featuring several figures on horseback dressed in traditional Andalusian attire. Two women and a horseman converse in an open space while the animals occupy the center of the composition, creating an image with a distinctly regional flavor. The work is executed with precise and elegant drawing, with an effective use of tonal gradations to define volumes, textures, and movement. The signature of Manuel García Rodríguez links the piece to the Sevillian artistic tradition of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, characterized by an interest in popular customs, equestrian scenes, and regional types. The fluidity of the line, the anatomical accuracy, and the narrative power of a composition that evokes the social and festive atmosphere of Andalusia are particularly noteworthy.
