Damasco Blue Rug (200x300) - GAN Design Team 100% wool Hand Knotted This is our Damasco rug, made knot by knot rug with a design inspired by the patterns of damask textiles. Because it is made with 100% virgin wool, the piece speaks a completely different language from that of silk fabrics, which is also highlighted by its intense color scheme. Damasco is a rug created by the internal design team at GAN and it is available in two sizes. Because of its baroque and variegated surface, and its combination of coral and light blue tones, it is especially indicated to accompany neutral floors. The hand-knotted technique is a manual rug-making method that allows for extremely detailed designs, precisely because rugs are made knot by knot. It is a very laborious technique and, consequently, it offers great flexibility. Bearing this peculiarity in mind, we at GAN create hand-knotted designs with both uniform patterns as well as with an apparent randomness.
