Games table - Burr walnut

an extremely elegant and atmospheric furniture set in the classic French Louis XV style. This complete set consists of a refined game table (also beautifully usable as a compact desk) and four matching, hand-carved chairs. A high-quality set with a rich appearance, perfect for a classical, eclectic, or Hollywood Regency interior. Features of the table: Style: Louis XV style with elegantly curved cabriole legs. Finish: Around the piece, a beautiful walnut- or rosewood veneer with refined inlay (marquetry) in floral motifs, especially around the front drawer. Tabletop: Inlaid with a dark green (artificial) leather top with a classic gold embossing along the edges. Details: The drawer is equipped with detailed, patinated brass hardware (handle). Features of the four chairs: Backrest: Featuring beautiful and still intact woven rush (webbing / cane). The top of the backrest is decorated with hand-carved floral details. Legs: Elegant curved slender legs that harmonize perfectly with the game table. Condition and restoration potential: The table and the woodwork of the chairs are structurally in good, sturdy condition with normal, characteristic signs of aging. The leather inlay top of the table shows light, superficial wear and discoloration appropriate to age. Note: The cracked (craquelé) leather of the chair seats is heavily worn and at least one seat shows a tear (see detail photos). The set is structurally perfect, but the seats will need reupholstering in time. This offers a unique opportunity to personalize the set completely with a fabric to your taste (for example chic velvet or new leather). Pickup in Lier
