His works span several genres, from landscapes, portraits and still lifes in his early figurative period, to his later move toward abstract figuration and sculpture—a very personal genre. For the artist, painting should not be rational but arise from creative impulses. He makes an important turn toward abstraction that leans toward figuration; his compositions are fantastic. His figure is sometimes melancholic, with the reflective mood typical of a dreamer. His geometries fit into large colorful backdrops in a softer way. He loves contact with matter; his main production centers on modeling and sculpture, which always refers back to painting.
