Gabriele Gentile - Acquario

The work "Aquario" (Acquario), part of the project "De-sidera", is sold printed on Hahnemühle Photo Matt Fibre 200 gsm paper in the size 30x40 cm (excluding a 2 cm white border) in a limited edition of thirty copies (1/30). The print, stamped and signed on the back by the artist, will be shipped securely with double careful packaging together with the certificate of authenticity and the instructions for best preservation. Gabriele Gentile, aka Vetroviola, after studies in the humanities and literature approaches digital photography, fascinated by the communicative and emotional possibilities of this medium that can render a moment eternal. Rediscovering childlike curiosities such as the attraction to colors and shapes and that for desolate and unexplored places, he thus develops his artistic research toward the concepts of time and space, projected into heterogeneous dreamlike visions through the intense use of chroma and the essential and pure compositions. In addition to having exhibited in shows and events in various Italian cities including Paris, Milan, Trieste, Siena, Aosta, Parma, Bergamo and Sardinia, he has achieved international publications including L'Oeil de la Photographie (France, 2022), Arte magazine (February 2023), The Pictorial List (Australia, 2022), Spectaculum Magazine (Austria, 2021), Still Fotografia (Italy, 2020). Among the most recent recognitions are the Fine Art Photography Awards 2024 (first place), Prix de la Photographie Paris 2023 (honorable mention), Tokyo International Foto Awards (silver medal), Chromatic Photo Awards and Budapest International Foto Awards 2022 (gold medal), Neutral Density Photography Awards (honorable mention) and Moscow International Foto Awards 2021 (silver medal). His project “De-sidera”, dedicated to abandoned places, has become a book titled “Polvere a colori” (Polvere a colori), published in a bilingual Italian-English edition in 2022.
