Fristho - Rudolf Bernd Glatzel - Sideboard - Wood

An absolute masterwork from the heyday of Dutch Design. This exclusive mid-century sideboard (model GSR-230) was designed in the 1960s by the renowned designer Rudolf B. Glatzel for the quality manufacturer Fristho (Franeker, Netherlands). The piece stands out for its rare, architectural form and the use of high-quality rosewood. The top features four hinged doors with beautiful, distinctive geometric wood-carving in the shape of concentric squares. Below is a generous open shelf division, perfect for displaying design objects or books. The bottom is finished with a sleek row of drawers that seamlessly blend into the blazing wood grain. The whole rests on an elegant, minimalist wooden base, which gives the furniture a striking floating effect despite its generous size. A timeless statement piece that fits perfectly in a high-quality modern or eclectic interior. In very good vintage condition with normal, light signs of age consistent with its age. Dimensions: approx. 222 cm (width) x 46 cm (depth) x 108 cm (height).

Estimation:€3,000
