An absolute masterpiece from the heyday of Dutch Design. This exclusive mid-century sideboard (model GSR-230) was designed in the 1960s by renowned designer Rudolf B. Glatzel for the quality manufacturer Fristho (Franeker, Netherlands). The piece stands out for its rare, architectural design and the use of high-quality palissander wood (rosewood). The top features four hinged doors with beautiful, characteristic geometric woodcarving in the shape of concentric squares. Below there is a generous, open niche/compartment layout that is perfect for displaying design objects or books. The bottom is finished with a sleek row of drawers that seamlessly blend into the blazing wood grain pattern. The whole rests on an elegant and minimalist wooden base, which gives the piece a definite floating effect despite its substantial size.
