The circular dial with Arabic numerals enclosed within a brass bezel, set within an elaborate hand-forged wrought iron framework of scrolling foliate and rocaille ornament. The openwork case is richly decorated with pierced scrolls, floral rosettes, twisted elements and stylized foliage, exemplifying the exuberant decorative vocabulary of the Louis XV Revival.
