Fredonia, New York. $5 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1800-1. NB. Charter #9019. PCGS Currency Extremely Fine 40. Serial Number 1. Even though this note may represent a "common" bank by virtue of the population recorded by the National Bank Note Census. The word "common" though in the context of this lot is arguably misplaced as this piece was clearly saved as a souvenir when the first sheet of T1 $5s was delivered to this bank. Emblazoned at left and right, one may observe a serial number that reads "C000001A" which in-part betrays this note as the sole surviving Serial Number 1 for both the type and denomination making this a truly rare opportunity for not only the bank itself, but also among the recorded Serial Number 1s enumerated here by the National Bank Note Census. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500.

Estimation:€534.9
