Francioni Mastromarino (1978) - Non è un gioco

Free shipping across Europe "It's not a game" is a contemporary sculpture created by the artistic duo Francioni Mastromarino. The work depicts a bronze bowling ball with continents in relief, transforming it into a globe. A symbolic interpretation that fuses two images: the Earth, with the ball's three characteristic holes, and the game itself. This piece was chosen to be published in the prestigious trade magazine The Art Book, within the special issue dedicated to provocation in contemporary art. The sculpture tackles the issue of climate change, sending a clear message: the Earth is not a game. The authors denounce the United States' behavior regarding climate agreements, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the protection of our only planet with superficiality. The sculpture was cast in bronze using the lost-wax casting technique. A sculpture with a strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who want a work of art that makes you reflect on the future of our world. The work is the result of the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a couple of art and love who have worked together for over 20 years in their Pietrasanta-based studio in Tuscany. The chosen materials minimize environmental pollution, as does the use of cardboard scraps as packing filler. The sculpture is carefully packed in a very sturdy box and shipped by express courier.
