France - Sicily; Saint non - Acquedotto principe di...

Beautiful view of the Aqueduct of the Prince of Biscari, etched in copperplate and published in the second half of the 18th century by Abbé Saint‑Non. The copy is part of a second edition printed at the beginning of the 19th century. This view is taken from the very famous work by Saint‑Non, 'Viaggio pittoresco nel regno di Napoli', and is mounted in an elegant Passe-Partout, so the view is ready to be placed in a frame.
