FRANCE. 1720-A Demi-Sol au buste enfantin. John Law Issue. Paris Mint.

FRANCE. 1720-A Demi-Sol au buste enfantin. John Law Issue. Paris Mint. Gadoury-273, Hodder-2, Anton-Kesse pp. 46-50. VF-35 (PCGS). Moderately, yet evenly worn with all major design elements remaining bold from a well executed strike. There are no marks of note, surfaces just a tad microgranular, planchet trivially flawed on obverse over and before King Louis' eye. Color is an attractive, original autumn-orange brown with deeper charcoal-olive around the design elements associated with some ancient surface build up that in no way detracts. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 1013033. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
