The frame features a splendid wavy shield silhouette, richly adorned with volute motifs and crowned by a sumptuous decorative palmette crest. It is made according to the period tradition in finely shaped wood and stucco (gypsum), with a gilded finish that preserves a magnificent original patina and an unmistakable historical charm. The compact dimensions and the richness of the details make it a perfect collectible piece, both as a single accent element and when placed on a wall of antique mirrors. The inner mirror shows a sharp reflection.
