Frame- double-frame landscapes - Wood, Glass - E. Latour and G. Elen

Pair of vintage landscape paintings with gilded frames – E. Latour and G. Elen Pair of decorative paintings depicting two different landscapes, united by frames with a gold finish and wide mats that enhance the central scenes. The smaller painting shows a snow-covered village, with colorful houses, a tall spire, and a bare tree in the foreground. The blue sky, with pink tones and an orange sun, contrasts with the snow, rendered in a textured, relief-like painterly technique. It bears a signature at the bottom right and a plaque reading “E. LATOUR.” The frame is decorated with an embossed geometric motif and encloses a dark mat. The larger painting depicts a country road with a figure, a wall, and a building in the background, among trees and vegetation. The greens, ochres, and blue-gray tones compose a scene with a restrained atmosphere. The landscape is set within a wide, textile-looking beige mat, with a gilded inner edge and a plaque bearing “G. ELEN.” An ideal ensemble for a study, living room, or a wall composed of vintage paintings and objects. The names are shown as visible on the works and on the plaques, without authentication of attribution. Dimensions of the large painting: * External: width 39 × height 29 × depth 4 cm. * Internal, painting light: 22 × 12 cm. Dimensions of the small painting: * External: width 24.5 × height 20.5 × depth 3 cm. * Internal, painting light: 12 × 7 cm. They show signs of age, wear and small losses in the frame finishes, as well as marks and slight stains on the mats. Conditions as shown in photographs, an integral part of the description.
