Fr. 2303. 1934A $10 Hawaii Emergency Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.

Fr. 2303. 1934A $10 Hawaii Emergency Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. Hawaii Emergency Notes issued in the early months of American involvement in the Second World War are among the most recognizable numismatic legacies of the conflict and stand as something of great interest in the eyes of collectors regardless of the denomination and often the grade level as well. Now this lot offers the chance to contest a particularly fortunate survivor that never circulated and represents a particularly desirable denomination that trades sporadically compared to the $20s that represent the highest denomination from this wartime emission. Here bidders are met with a sight that offers a fine confirmation to the grade assigned by PMG while distinctive elements such as the brown Treasury overprint and the distinctive "HAWAII" overprint seen on the back complement a degree of originality and eye appeal that was typically lost to the humidity and harsh tropical climate of the South Pacific long before PMG organized in 2005. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Click here for certification details from PMG.
