A Tantalizing "Gold Clause" $1000 Federal Reserve Note from the San Francisco District Fr. 2210-L. 1928 Dark Green Seal $1000 Federal Reserve Note. San Francisco. PMG About Uncirculated 53. Issued under a scarce series imprint seen sparingly in relation to subsequent iterations of this ever-popular denomination. This lightly circulated example from the San Francisco district offers a captivating presence that defies easy description. Here viewers are met with an exceptional degree of eye appeal brought to form by a veritable cornucopia of tantalizing engraved and overprinted design elements.
