Fr. 1104. 1914 $100 Federal Reserve Note. Atlanta. PCGS Banknote Gem

A Survivor from an Enigmatic Hoard Fr. 1104. 1914 $100 Federal Reserve Note. Atlanta. PCGS Banknote Gem Uncirculated 66 PPQ. Tracing its history back to an enigmatic run of Series of 1914 $100 Federal Reserve Notes from the Atlanta district. A note like this one should not have survived by any means especially at this level of preservation spoken to by the numerical grade of "66." Between the infrequent use of the $100 denomination outside of certain settings such as banks or large businesses, this note should not have survived even at the risk of repetition. Possibly saved in the depths of a safe-deposit box or a period cash hoard, the notes from this accumulation offer a sight decidedly above the norm as most $100 Federal Reserve Notes from this series regardless of district are encountered in circulated grades sometimes with obvious impairments making this the perfect piece for the condition-focused collector looking to represent this popular design and denomination with a premium specimen. Estimate: $7,000 - $9,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimation:€3,758.37
