Fossil wood - Fossil fragment - Araucaria - Superb...

This small secessed and polished fossil wood slab is an authentic encounter between nature, time and design. Cut to reveal its interior and carefully sanded, it shows with extraordinary clarity the original veins of the wood, which remained imprinted in the stone after millions of years of mineralisation. The growth rings, fine lines and chromatic variations tell the life of an ancient tree turned into rock, where organic matter has been replaced by minerals keeping the original structure intact. The shades range from warm beige to deep brown, sometimes enriched by reddish or slate-gray shades, creating an elegant and sophisticated natural design. The polished surface gives depth and brilliance, enhancing the details and offering a smooth and silky finish to the touch. Compact in size but rich in character, this slab is a true collector's item: perfect as a decorative element, desk object or contemporary design detail. A fragment of prehistoric forest transformed into stone, capable of combining scientific value, natural charm and modern aesthetics in a single, refined presence. NOTE: Stand is not included in the lot.
