HIGHLIGHTS: • Rare Ford Taunus 17M Super trim with the iconic V4 engine • Nearly completely original and unaltered interior with renewed headlining • Made technically drivable with recently renewed ignition, spark plugs and gaskets • Equipped with valid, complete papers and 2 keys HISTORY/OVERVIEW: The Ford Taunus 17M (P5 generation), produced in the mid-1960s, is known for its streamlined design and innovative technology for the time. The "Super" trim combined with the compact V4 engine formed a rare and sought-after combination within the Taunus family. This 1965 example has stood dry-stored for many years as a restoration project. Early 2025 the car was acquired and the seller has technically brought it back to running and functional condition while preserving its authentic character. BODYWORK/PAINT: The exterior is approximately 90% original. The body shows rust in several places and has in the past been touch-painted on parts, which gives the car a unique and characterful patina. Many of the chrome trim pieces are still in good condition. The chassis is fully original and has some rust spots. The original wheels are present. INTERIOR: The interior is almost completely original and unrestored. The seats and the rear bench are in very nicely preserved condition. The original dashboard is complete and untouched. The headlining has already been renewed and fits tightly and neatly. ENGINE AND TECHNICAL: Under the hood sits the original V4 combustion engine. The engine has recently been equipped with a new ignition, new spark plugs and various new gaskets. Additionally, a refurbished alternator and a new battery have been installed. The engine starts directly and runs very well. The car drives, brakes and shifts as it should. DOCUMENTS: The car comes with valid, complete registration documents and has 2 original keys.
