Set of 5 original Flötotto / Pagholz chairs – Germany – Mid-Century Modern A set of 5 original Flötotto chairs offered, made in Germany. The chairs feature the characteristic producer mark FLÖTOTTO visible on the back of the molded shell. The seat and backrest are made as a single ergonomic molded shell from layered wood/plywood in a warm brown mahogany shade. The construction is completed by a minimalist frame of chromed steel tubing in Freischwinger / sled base style. The form is characteristic of German applied arts design from the second half of the 20th century. Similar Flötotto/Pagholz models are dated to around 1960–1970. Manufacturer: Flötotto Country: Germany Quantity: 5 chairs Material: molded plywood / Pagholz, chromed steel Style: Mid-Century Modern / Industrial / German Design Period: approx. 1960s–1970s Height: approx. 76–77 cm Depth: approx. 50–52 cm Width: approx. 52–53 cm The chairs are in original vintage condition and show normal signs of use and age: minor scratches, wear, and color variations in the wooden surfaces as well as wear on the chromed frames. On the underside of the metal elements there are also occasional marks of previous repairs/welding and wear. All of these elements are shown in the photos. Despite the signs of use, the set retains a very attractive, cohesive form and character typical of German Mid-Century design. All 5 chairs are sold together as one set. Please inspect the photographs carefully, as they are an integral part of the description.
