Figural mantel clock - Thomas-François Cartier - Antique Brass

An impressive sculptural mantel clock featuring a dynamic panther figure, signed Cartier, a name associated with the French animalier sculptor Thomas-François Cartier (1879–1943). The composition combines a dark patinated metal sculpture with a substantial natural stone base. The elongated figure of the panther, expressive modelling and contrasting materials create the characteristic decorative presence of the Art Deco period.
