Built from 1949 to 1955, the 500 C stands out for its evolving lines, more modern and rounded, and for the distinctive front end with an integrated grille. The Belvedere version, with a Transformable openable roof, allowed daily transporting for work and family movement thanks to its 4 seats. The specimen offered is from 1953, thus belonging to the latter part of the 500 C’s career, and it retains the characteristics that made the Topolino one of the most recognizable cars of its era. EXTERIOR The bodywork presents itself generally solid, with signs of time and some corrosion spots. The paint, redone a few years ago, maintains good gloss and has recently undergone polishing and detailing. A measurement check with a micrometer did not reveal traces of significant accidents. The underbody has never been restored and appears as well preserved, with minimal localized corrosion points. No signs of accidents are visible and the chassis is solid. INTERIOR The interiors show normal signs of wear, but are complete, usable, and presentable in line with the car’s overall patina. The door panels and rear seats are overall preserved. The dashboard retains the original instruments. The hood/soft top shows some signs of age, but opens and closes easily and a repair has been carried out in the past. MECHANICS The car preserves the correct engine, with a code corresponding to the chassis number, as reported in the circulation documents. It has been recently restarted and can be driven on a private road. The engine runs, as do the gearbox and brakes. Given the limited use in recent years, a general service is advised before regular use. The technical inspection (revisions) expired before 2018.
