Toutes les enchères / Véhicules / Fiat - 500 C - 1952

IN RISALTO: • Vehicle with its original first registration plate from Turin (TO-899027) allowed back on the road in 1993 • Only about 17 km driven from the 2022 purchase to today and kept in private garage • Underwent a complete mechanical and electrical overhaul completed in October 2022 • Equipped with a new battery (replaced April 2026) and service belt replaced June 2026 HISTORY/PANORAMA: The Fiat 500C, popularly nicknamed "Topolino" (Mickey Mouse), represents one of the most famous and beloved cars in post-war Italian automotive history. Introduced in 1949 with a redesigned front end compared to previous series and characterized by the practical fabric convertible roof, it combines structural simplicity, efficiency, and vintage charm. This 1952 example preserves the history of its first registration in Turin (license plate TO-899027) and was re-registered in Italy on October 2, 1993 with Milan plate MI6Z2883. Since May 5, 2022 the car has belonged to the current owner, who stores it indoors in a garage and has driven only about 17 km since its last restoration. BODY/PAINT: The body, subject to a repaint by the previous owner, is in generally good condition and maintains a uniform shine. No evident passing rust spots are present (only light traces of superficial rust in the engine bay). The seller notes some light scratches from use and a small dent on the rear hood near the left side of the license plate. The seals provide good fit, chrome parts are in order, and there is a rear chrome-plated metal luggage rack that has never been installed or used. The original fabric roof has been replaced by the previous owner and is intact. There is no key for the door and hood lock. The tires are in fair condition and a replacement is recommended. INTERIOR: The cabin is in excellent general preservation, with upholstery refreshed by the previous owner. The coverings show no tears or significant damage, only small stains and minor superficial scratches. The fabric roof is intact and fully functional. The dashboard and onboard instrumentation work, showing normal signs of age and light vintage wear. Interior lighting and all main controls are active and functioning. MECHANICAL: A thorough complete general revision was carried out, completed in October 2022. Works included full overhaul and partial rewiring, action on the braking system with pistoncini release, replacement of the brake pump and shoes with original parts, cleaning of the tank and fuel supply system, oil change, and inspection of all linkages. More recently the battery (April 2026) and the service belt (June 2026) were replaced. The car starts reliably at first turn both hot and cold and is ready to drive. Headlights, lights, and horn work perfectly. The engine shows only the physiological oil seepage typical of vehicles of the era. The periodic inspection is currently expired. DOCUMENTS: The documentation includes the registration certificate in the name of the current owner, the inspection certificate dated 29/10/2022, and the original user and maintenance manual from the period.
