Rare first edition, very difficult to find complete in all three volumes, of the official collection of Galileo Ferraris's scientific writings, the famous Italian engineer and physicist, inventor of the rotating magnetic field and the induction motor. The work was prepared and published posthumously at the initiative of the Italian Electrotechnical Association (AEI) under the supervision of the scientist Guido Grassi. COMPLETO, with 87 engravings and 2 plates. Esemplari con carte in condizioni complessivamente molto buone. Consueti segni dell'uso e del tempo. Legature coeve in mezza pelle con titoli in oro ai dorsi, molto ben conservate. Fogli di guardia in carta decorata floreale.
