Fern Horwitz House on Adams St 1973 Acrylic Denver Street Scene Signed

North America, United States, Colorado, Denver, Fern Horwitz (American, 1943 to 2023), 1973 CE. “House on Adams St.,” acrylic on canvas. A Denver street on a summer afternoon, seen from slightly above eye level, perhaps from a window across the street. Two parked American cars of an earlier decade sit at the curb, surrounded by mature trees. The palette is built on deep, varied greens, set off by the salmon-pink roof of the brick bungalow at the center and the pale bodies of the cars below. Forms are blocked in with economical brushwork, in the tradition of American realist townscape painting. Signed and dated at lower right; titled on verso, with the artist’s label. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids. Item # 202772
