Felipe Urrutia - XXXL - fragmentos de montaña

Felipe Urrutia (born 1995) is a Spanish artist, 30 years old. His artistic practice began at an early age, initially exploring Cubist figuration and moving through various styles until he consolidated a unique language that combines synthesis, intuition, and emotion. Today, it flows into a set of works that oscillate between stripped-down figuration and symbolic abstraction. With a fresh, carefree brushstroke, Urrutia builds characters and abstract landscapes that seem to emerge from a territory between the real and the emotional. In them, forms dissolve to reveal the layering of feelings that inhabit daily life. He believes in portraiture as a tool capable of condensing multiple truths at once, capturing both the visible and the invisible in a single gesture. He often combines pictorial imagery with written words, generating a dialogue that reinforces his expressive intention. This coexistence of text and painting does not seek to illustrate but to broaden meaning, provoke resonances, and question the relationship between what is said and what is felt. He has exhibited in various countries, including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, consolidating a growing international trajectory. His work is part of numerous private and public collections, and he continues developing a body of work that is distinguished by its authenticity, its sensitive perspective, and its commitment to exploring the human condition.
