Suggestive painting on wood by the painter of the Resin School, Federico Rossano (Naples, August 31, 1835 – Naples, May 15, 1912). Federico Rossano, together with De Nittis, Marco De Gregorio and others, started in 1863 the so-called “Resina School” in relation to the Macchiaioli and the Verists. In 1875, having moved to Paris, his painting was inspired by the Impressionism of the time. He participated in exhibitions in Vienna, London, Italy, Paris with a solo show in 1889. In 1893, returning to Naples, where he taught at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, he participated in the Venice Biennale in 1899, 1905, 1910.
