Famille Rose Ladies & Poetry Melon-Form Jar - Porcelain...

Description A generously proportioned jar of classic melon shape, with gently tapering body and domed lid surmounted by a gilded finial. The exterior is finely painted in soft famille rose enamels with an elegant narrative scene: two ladies in flowing robes — one carrying a flower basket suspended from a staff, the other riding a spotted deer and holding a peach — set within a serene garden of blossoming prunus, bamboo, and a fenced terrace. The composition is further accompanied by poetic inscriptions, completing the refined scholar-aesthetic presentation. The painting is executed with delicate linework and a gentle, harmonious palette, capturing the grace and refinement of traditional figural decoration.
