Toutes les enchères / Arts Graphiques / F. CAUWELAERT, DISCIPLE OF ADOLPHE SAX - Prototype bombardment

Descriptio Metal. Dimensions: 99 x 42 x 99 cm. An interesting prototype euphonium dating from the early 20th century, made by F. Cauwelaert, cited as a pupil of Adolphe Sax. The piece is of considerable interest within the history of organology and the evolution of brass instruments, as it represents a typology linked to the technical and formal experimentation developed around the brass family in the wake of the innovations introduced by Sax. Its status as a prototype gives it special documentary value, both for its rarity and for its connection to the development and refinement of this type of instrument in the first half of the 20th century. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
