The shape of the finger ring is a very consistent one, but has been varied throughout history. A special feature first appeared in the 1970s and is known to us today as the stirrup shape. In this case the goldsmith makes the ring band sideways in the lower part. This design is particularly advantageous for a ring with a large ring head, which is thus prevented from slipping and the stirrup forms a welcome resistance. The present piece of jewellery also has a magnificent ring head, which we can date to the 1970s thanks to its stirrup bar. A magnificent emerald of intense colour and weighing about one carat shows up as the central gemstone. Twelve brilliant cut diamonds and two trapezoid cut diamonds of choice quality expand the ring's showpiece into a finely stepped, sparkling carée. The ring is a hand-forged unique piece and came here in Berlin us, where it was probably also created. The ring comes with a detailed appraisal from the German Association for Gemstone Evaluation , which confirms the quality of the materials used. An expressive ring in a clear design language.
