Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Exquisite Ruby on Fuchsite - Sacred Shiva Lingam...
Forma Lingam | India | Extra Quality — This specimen captures attention for its extraordinary beauty and the excellent workmanship in Lingam-shaped form, a sacred symbol revered in many cultures. The piece features a harmonious fusion of rubies in an intense and vibrant pink, set within a matrix of fuchsite in variegated shades of green and blue. The polished surface enhances the natural luster of the minerals, creating a fascinating visual contrast between the vivid color of the ruby and the more subdued backdrop of the fuchsite. The hallmark of this specimen reveals itself fully under UV light, where the rubies display intense and spectacular red fluorescence, turning the object into a veritable light show. This feature makes it not only a daytime display piece but also a striking focal point in settings with specialized lighting. The ruby inclusions are well distributed, with visible crystals that add depth and character to the piece, while the veining and shades of fuchsite create a dynamic, organic pattern. The Lingam is an abstract sculptural form representing the deity in Hindu tradition, often associated with creativity, fertility, and renewal. The choice of ruby on fuchsite to carve an object of such significance adds another layer of cultural and spiritual value to the piece, making it an object of contemplation and a powerful symbol, as well as a natural masterpiece. An example of Ruby on Fuchsite of this size and quality, beautifully carved and with pronounced fluorescence, is a highly prized addition to any mineral collection, a classy decorative piece, or a meaningful gift. Its dramatic presence and aesthetic appeal make it ideal for display in a Wunderkammer or as a distinctive decorative element in a refined setting. Conditions: The specimen is in excellent condition, as visible in the photographs. Being a natural product, small irregularities, cavities, or color variations are part of its geological formation and attest to its authenticity.
