Toutes les enchères / Montres & Horlogerie / Eureka - Doctor's Watch / Duo-Dial herenhorloge - No...
A very special and rare mechanical men's watch from the Eureka brand. This model is known in watchmaking circles as a 'Doctor's Watch' or 'Duo-Dial'. The watch features a distinctive rectangular Art Deco case. The dial is divided into two sections: the upper register shows the hours and minutes with Arabic indices (12, 3, 6, 9), while the lower square houses a prominent, large sub-second hand. This design allowed physicians at the time to easily measure a patient's pulse. The watch is equipped with an authentic rectangular Swiss mechanical movement (manual wind) with jewel bearings and fine adjustment (F/S - R/S). The inside of the case back is marked with the text 'Nickel Chrome' and the unique serial number 677679. A beautiful restoration project or collectible for enthusiasts of early mechanical precision watches. Condition: Case and Dial: In authentic, unrestored vintage condition with clear signs of aging. The dial shows a lovely patina accumulated over time. The chrome finish on the case shows light wear and scratches commensurate with its age. Mechanical condition: The movement requires servicing/revision. Once the watch is set in motion or given a shake, it starts running, but stops again after about 1 minute. Dimensions: Case height: 3.5 cm Case width (including crown): 2.5 cm (2.0 cm excluding crown) Total length (including watch strap): 23 cm Total weight: 27 g The lot will be packed with utmost care and shipped registered and insured with track & trace. Pickup is also possible on consultation.
