EUCRITE METEORITE Slice

The specimen from this lot is a full-size, high-quality slice of EUCRITE found in Libya in 2022, classified under the official name Jikharra 001. In it we can appreciate its beautifully brecciated lithology, as it is a recrystallized eucrite. The lithic clasts consist of calcic plagioclase and aggregates of fine-grained plagioclase crystals. Thanks to studies, it has been proven that HED meteorites (Howardites, Eucrites, and Diogenites) originate from the asteroid Vesta, which means they are differentiated rocky meteorites, i.e., achondrites. This is a slice cut with diamond wire, achieving a large surface area with low weight. We work to offer you the best slices on the market. Exceptional size and quality to add to your collection. Do not miss this opportunity! We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made from this material for life.
