Title: The Pier School: European Impressionist School (20th century) Style: Landscape Impressionism Technique: Oil on panel ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Work linked to the tradition of European impressionist landscape, with special influence from genre painting and port scenes developed between the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th. The depiction of popular figures by the water, the boats, and the architecture blurred in the distance evoke a sensibility focused on capturing daily life and atmospheric effects. The light palette, bright sky, and relatively loose brushwork reinforce this affiliation, although the definition of the figures retains certain traits of figurative and realistic tradition. A genre-style composition set on a pier. In the foreground there is a large group of figures, mainly women dressed in long gowns and head coverings, gathered beside several small boats. The arrangement of the characters creates a narrative focus that leads visually toward the water and the horizon. ㅤ In the background a port town is visible, with different buildings and a tower rising above the urban profile. To the right appear numerous masts and elements typical of a mooring area, while small flags add color and movement. The sky occupies a good portion of the composition and is resolved with bluish, gray, and white tones, with softly modeled clouds that provide depth and a luminous atmosphere. ㅤ The work is presented with a wide gold frame of classical character, richly ornamented with vegetal reliefs and floral-inspired motifs. It shows several levels of molding and an inner light band with a textile-like appearance that visually separates the painting from the outer frame. The whole provides a decorative and monumental presence to a work of relatively small dimensions. ㅤ Observations: ㅤ The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. If so, we will require photos of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharges due to reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess size or weight of the item. PremiArt will in no case cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border can experience much longer delays than usual, so, if possible to expedite the process, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can release it and it can reach its destination. Experience has shown that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, the order may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience.
