Title: Regatta in the Port School: European Impressionist School (19th century) Style: Marine Impressionism Technique: Oil on canvas Condition: Has undergone restorations. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Work linked to the field of European marine painting of the 19th century, with a marked influence from late Romantic landscape painting and from the Impressionist currents devoted to the depiction of ports, vessels, and atmospheric effects. The composition shows a particular interest in reflections on the water, fog, and the capture of subdued illumination, resources customary among painters specialized in coastal and port scenes from the late 19th century. ㅤ The composition represents a port scene dominated by a large sailing ship placed at the center of the work, accompanied by other vessels that appear in the distance. The main ship, with its masts, rigging, and sails unfurled, constitutes the visual focus and is reflected on the calm surface of the water. ㅤ The sunlight, depicted as a yellowish disc near the horizon, pierces a hazy atmosphere and creates delicate reflections on the sea. In the foreground there is a red buoy and several seabirds fly over the water, adding depth and movement to a scene characterized by serenity. The color palette is built mainly through bluish-grays, greens, and ochre tones, with a loose brushwork especially visible in the treatment of the water and the sky. ㅤ The work is presented framed with a wide wooden frame, finished in a dark black tone and organized with different stepped moldings. Its sober and architectural character creates a strong contrast with the light, cool tones of the painting. Signs of use and wear appropriate to its age are evident. ㅤ Observations: Restorations present. The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will never cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border may be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible, to speed up the process, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the customer can release it and reach its destination. Experience has shown this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, the order may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 82 × 47 cm Dimensions with frame: 94 × 89 cm
