Title: Musicians ㅤ School: European Cubist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Cubism with synthetic influences and post-cubist ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ State: Good overall condition, with slight signs of age and use in keeping with the nature of the work. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is framed within the Cubist tradition developed from the early decades of the 20th century, showing a marked influence of synthetic Cubism and of the later European reinterpretations of the movement. The fragmentation of forms, the overlap of planes and the reduction of instruments and figures to geometric structures recall the language initiated by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, especially their compositions devoted to musicians and musical instruments. The incorporation of flat and contrasted colors also reveals an evolution toward post-Cubist approaches of a more decorative nature. ㅤ The composition represents a set of musicians and instruments built through a complex superposition of geometric planes. The figures appear deliberately fragmented, making faces, hands and instruments integrate into an almost architectural structure in which it is difficult to establish a precise separation between the different elements. ㅤ Against a predominantly black background stand out whites, yellows, ochres, oranges and small bluish details. Black and white lines delimit the shapes, while hatched areas introduce rhythm and dynamism. Various circular, cylindrical and angular shapes evoke musical instruments and their components, reinforcing the musical character of the scene. ㅤ The work dispenses with traditional perspective and organizes space through simultaneous planes and fragmented viewpoints. This feature, characteristic of the Cubist language, turns figurative representation into a visual construction where geometry, rhythm and color acquire as much importance as the subject itself. In the lower right area there is a signature accompanied apparently by the date “71.” ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the defects to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptional shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excess size or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can release it and thus reach its destination. Experience has shown that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 72 × 48 cm Total dimensions: 74 × 50 cm
