Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / Elena Rigano (XXI) - Anima in sosta
Hand-signed by the contemporary artist Elena Rigano and bearing the Gallery's stamp. Title: Soul at Rest Measurements: 70x55 cm Year: 2023 Elena Rigano is a contemporary artist whose painting practice focuses on representing moments suspended in everyday life. Through a careful and measured figurative approach, she investigates the intimate dimension of existence, transforming ordinary gestures into images charged with emotional tension and silence. Her research develops from a dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity: on one side the influence of the great masters of painting in the construction of light and composition; on the other, a visually strong cinematic sensibility capable of evoking suspended atmospheres and implicit narratives. Her figures, often portrayed from behind or absorbed in their thoughts, inhabit essential spaces where time seems to slow down, letting emerge subtle and universal inner states. Rigano's work is distinguished by a calibrated use of light, which becomes a central narrative element, and by an intense yet controlled color palette, where contrasts help define the visual rhythm of the piece. Each painting takes the form of an autonomous scene, yet at the same time part of a broader inquiry into the theme of waiting, distance, and the perception of time. In recent years, her work has attracted the attention of private collectors and exhibition contexts interested in the new figurative contemporary scene, consolidating a recognizable and coherent poetics. NB: The artwork will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipments. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
