Elastolin - Figure - Seltene Original Elastolin / Lineol...

Rare original Elastolin / Lineol etc. - German Music Corps - WWII etc. (see pictures) 16 x soldiers etc. / rare figures Elastolin: Mass figures were already produced around 1880 in Austria by the Vienna-based company Emil Pfeiffer, which became world-famous for the "loving and colorful painting" of its figures. Around 1900 production began in Germany. Similar to the tin figures, it covered an enormous range of themes, but mainly represented war toys. Accessories such as vehicles were mostly made of tinplate; sometimes there were mixed forms, for example tin carriages with crews and horses made of mass. Since other manufacturers mostly adhered to the scale of Hausser, the products were often interchangeable. Because many manufacturers did not specialize only in war toys, but also depicted organizations and leaders of the NS regime in their figures, after World War II a resumption of production in all occupation zones of Germany was difficult. Lineol until 1945 The Lineol Aktiengesellschaft was founded in 1906 by Oskar Wilhelm Wiederholz in Brandenburg an der Havel. Since 1903 he developed the mass needed, which, in contrast to the mass of the competitor Elastolin, also contains linseed oil and resin. Co-responsible for Lineol’s success was the Berlin artist Albert Caasmann, who since 1909 designed the figure templates in wax. He was promoted to chief modeller under Wiederholz in 1919 and was head of figure production until 1952. In the 1930s Lineol AG employed 300 to 400 staff. A high level of detail in the figures was responsible for the rapid success of the figures. The animals of the Berlin Zoo served as models for the wild animals. Two famous examples from the animal figure production are the hippopotamus Knautschke and the gorilla “Bobby,” which Albert Caasmann immortalized in miniatures. In addition to mass figures, Lineol produced high-quality tin toys. The figures were available in different scales/sizes (from 17 cm to 4 cm), with the figure size of 7.5 cm becoming established over the years. The mass figures from Lineol are easily distinguished from the figures of the Hausser company (brand name Elastolin) by a rectangular pedestal. Very nice collection of detailed figures. A must for any collector. Condition see pictures Figures sale without decor houses Note: The cost of parcel shipping includes packing, shipping, postage, tracking, and insurance up to 500€.
