EGYPTIAN ALABASTER ALABASTRON

Ca. 600 - 100 BC. An alabaster alabastron with a globular body tapering to a rounded base, a narrow cylindrical neck and a broad, flat disc rim. Two opposed lug handles project from the shoulders. Size: 96mm x 70mm; Weight: 195g Provenance: Private collection; acquired in the mid 1980s - late 1990s; From the family collection of Mr. S.A. Switzerland, thence by descent Private collection since the late 1990s. (In Switzerland prior to the Swiss LTBC law of 2005).
