East Africa. - 10 Shillings - ND (1961) - Pick 42a (No reserve price)

East Africa – East African Currency Board 10 Shillings (1961) – Queen Elizabeth II A magnificent and highly sought-after collector's piece representing British colonial numismatic history in East Africa. This 10 Shillings banknote was issued by the East African Currency Board during the early reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Serving as legal tender across Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika, Zanzibar, and British Somaliland, these notes are fiercely contested by world paper money collectors due to their iconic artwork and rapid demonetization following independence. Printed by the world-renowned firm Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd., London, this mid-1950s issue remains an absolute classic of African colonial currency.
