E. Ricotti (20th century) - Oil on primed cardboard on canvas board - "Concert by Jean-Michel Jarre in Lyon, October 5, 1986, for the visit of Pope John Paul II" Description of the work: Original oil painting of strong visual impact by artist E. Ricotti, capturing the legendary Jean-Michel Jarre concert in Lyon in October 1986 for the visit of Pope John Paul II to France. The composition, in a vibrant, textured style close to divisionism or post-impressionism, strikingly conveys the magic of this historic night. The artist faithfully renders the spectacular stage design of the era: the monumental fan-shaped light beams, bursts of fireworks in the night sky, and the shimmering reflections on the water in the foreground. In the background, the Fourvières hill and its illuminated basilica dominate the scene, giving the artwork a strong local and historical identity. The painting bears two handwritten inscriptions by the artist: • In the bottom left: the historical thematic note "A. JARRE 1986". • In the bottom right: the artist's signature "E. RICOTTI.
