Its orange body is framed by the curve of the pink upholstery, whose stripes accompany the path from the backrest to the front edge. Instrument and furniture form a single visual unit, defined by the contrast between warm tones and dark contours. Eve Lezcano balances this ensemble with a side table that presents fruit, flowers, and a bottle from an elevated perspective. The coexistence of different viewpoints allows each object to be shown clearly and to adjust its position to the structure of the painting. The leaves widen the movement to the left, while the neck introduces an upward diagonal. At the top, a crescent moon of an unexpected scale adds an imaginary dimension to the interior. Its luminosity finds correspondences on the surface of the table and in small light accents, over a turquoise and black background. “Guitar on a pink armchair” grants the musical object the protagonism of a portrait. The absence of a human figure directs attention toward the shapes that could accompany it: the seat, the fruits, and an instrument ready to sound again.
