E. García - Chalet con piscina XL

CHALET CON PISCINA is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work depicts a bright residential courtyard with Mediterranean inspiration, dominated by a blue-water pool and surrounded by white architecture with reddish tiles, blue windows, abundant vegetation, and terracotta pots. In the center of the scene, a small table with two chairs invites relaxation and transforms the space into an intimate refuge dedicated to summer, calm, and outdoor living. The composition combines architectural landscape, pool painting, Mediterranean garden, and contemporary outdoor scene. The perspective draws the eye from the water in the foreground to the chalet’s blue door, creating depth and a sense of direct access to the interior of the house. The reflections of the façade and the sky on the pool add movement, while the shadows cast by trees and pots reinforce the intensity of sunlight. The palette is organized around bright whites, cobalt and turquoise blues, deep greens, ochres, and warm reds. This contrast between cool and warm colors gives the work a strong decorative presence and brings it closer to Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, and contemporary Mediterranean landscape painting. The visible brushwork and the simplification of forms allow recognizing the place without becoming a photographic reproduction, prioritizing atmosphere, light, and visual pleasure. Echoes of David Hockney can be seen in the pool’s prominence, in the geometry of space, and in the interest in sunny houses linked to leisure. There are also affinities with Henri Matisse and Raoul Dufy in color freedom, luminosity, and the integration between architecture, garden, and decoration. These references are reinterpreted from a personal perspective, linked to the imaginary of Mediterranean villas, Ibizan houses, and southern European courtyards. Cypresses, climbing flowers, potted plants, and garden furniture build an atmosphere of rest and privacy. The absence of human figures allows the viewer to symbolically occupy the chairs and imagine being inside the space, enjoying a quiet afternoon by the water. The work evokes holidays, summer, white architecture, nature, and well-being. Chalet with pool is especially attractive to collectors interested in contemporary figurative painting, pools, chalets, Mediterranean villas, Ibizan houses, patios with pools, gardens, white architecture, summer landscapes, Post-Impressionism, Fauvism, and works with references to David Hockney, Matisse, and Raoul Dufy.
