Door handle (4) - Jugendstil - NO RESERVE - 1900-1910

An exceptional, matching pair of late 19th to early 20th-century Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) door handle sets, masterfully crafted from solid brass and turned dark horn. Reflecting the refined architectural hardware of the Belle Époque, these handles feature elegant baluster-shaped grips and beautifully balanced structural joints. A rare find for restorers of historic properties or collectors of antique fittings, offered entirely with NO RESERVE. -Authentic Jugendstil Aesthetic: These handles encapsulate the elegant transition into early modernism, balancing functional engineering with the organic, soft contours typical of European Art Nouveau. The classical baluster design of the horn grips adds a stately, timeless presence to any period door. -Premium Material Composition: Each set combines heavy cast brass collars and stems with richly toned, dark natural horn grips. The horn handles are finished with meticulous turned detailing and delicate finial ends, providing a warm, highly tactile user experience. -Proportions & Fitment: Designed as a fully functional set for a single door (two pairs/four handles total), the hardware features standard square spindles. Together, they create a substantial architectural statement with a maximum width of 17 cm and an overall depth of 10 cm, perfectly matching traditional door mortise requirements. -Excellent Antique Condition: The set is preserved in remarkable, unrestored antique condition. The brass components showcase an authentic, rich golden-brown patina with honest traces of historical use, while the natural horn grips remain stable, structurally sound, and free from significant damage. This refined set of architectural hardware has a total combined weight of approximately 800 grams and will be packed with gallery-grade protective materials and shipped worldwide with priority tracking and full insurance.
