Toutes les enchères / Autres / Dirk Bakker (1947-2021) - "Dora & Pinokkio"
- Oil on canvas. Original canvas. Review on the back about the artist. Hand-signed. Attached to the image gallery is a rare photograph of the author with his work. - With Dirk Bakker’s transition to immortality, the plastic firmament loses one of its most extraordinary and pure souls, a devoted demiurge who turned existence into a priesthood of color and fantasy. An illustrious member of the collective «Samen Sterk» and an indispensable pillar of Alkmaar’s cultural life, Bakker made his studio a lyrical sanctuary where pictorial matter and canvases piled up like temple treasures, giving life to a uniquely unmistakable universe of creatures spanning between humanity, toy, and fairy-tale myth. His painting, glorified in community centers, galleries such as De Buitenkans — where his iconic 2011 work now guards with a protective aura the tea room “De Trog” — private collections and museums, always functioned as a beacon of bright light capable of pouring joy and sacred intrigue over anyone who contemplated his work. Although earthly forces ultimately parted him from the easels, the legacy of this master of innocence and mystery transcends human finitude, remaining eternally alive as an irreplaceable testament to his genius and kindness. - Dimensions of the unframed image: 50 x 50 cm / 55 x 55 cm with exclusive custom frame. At Montbaron Gallery, we are pleased to offer our clients an exclusive selection of artworks, all of them unique, original and one-of-a-kind. Each piece in our gallery is the result of deep dedication, a creative vision, and masterful technique—attributes that guarantee its authenticity. The works we sell are not industrial reproductions; they are pieces created individually by recognized artists, each with its own story and essence. Originality is the basis of our commitment to excellence; therefore, every painting or sculpture that forms part of our collection is carefully selected to ensure its singularity. Acquiring a work from Montbaron Gallery means owning an irreplaceable piece, an investment in creativity and talent that, over time, will preserve its artistic and emotional value. We are proud to offer works that not only beautify spaces but also connect our clients with the richness of human expression through the most authentic art. Thus, we guarantee that every work that leaves our gallery is a one-of-a-kind piece in the world, with no replica whatsoever, and a testament to the innovation and passion of the artists we work with. Certain lots, due to their antiquity and value, require an export permit issued by the Ministry of Culture. Although it is an administrative procedure, it is essential to ensure the authenticity of the work and its free circulation at international level. Montbaron Gallery is committed to offering its clients original, unique and irreplaceable works of art, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of each piece in our collection. To ensure transparency and trust in every purchase, we offer a digital Certificate of Guarantee, signed by a certified art historian. This certificate attests that the acquired work has been authenticated by our specialists, who verify its author, origin, and condition. The Certificate of Guarantee includes full details about the piece, such as its author, creation date, technique used, and dimensions. The digital Certificate of Guarantee will be issued upon customer request, providing an official reference for the acquired piece. This document will be delivered in digital format and will be signed by an art historian from our gallery, ensuring its validity and support. We are committed to the satisfaction and trust of our clients, so any doubts about the authenticity or the condition of the work will be addressed professionally and diligently. To request your Certificate of Guarantee, please contact us through our usual channels. As art logistics experts, at Montbaron Gallery we are committed to ensuring that every piece reaches its destination safely and in the best possible condition. To this end, we work with a network of professionals specialized in art transport, who guarantee maximum care throughout the process. It is important to note that the shipping cost prices indicated in the listing are indicative and subject to changes depending on various circumstances. These include fluctuations in transport market rates, changes in delivery location, the size and weight of the work, and possible extraordinary circumstances, such as fluctuations in fuel costs or adjustments in customs and import tariffs. The final shipping cost will be calculated precisely based on these factors, and the client will always be informed in advance before proceeding with the shipment. Our aim is to offer the best possible service, adapting to each client’s needs and ensuring the artwork arrives at its destination quickly and safely, with no surprises. The frame shown in the previous images has been added to the work by a third party or by the seller, so it is not an integral part of the object. This frame is provided at no additional cost so that, when the work arrives at your home, it can be displayed immediately on your wall. Consequently, damages to the frame that do not affect the integrity of the artwork will not be considered a valid reason to open a claim or request a cancellation.
