Desk lamp - Gilt wood - Wooden lamp

Antique hand-carved wooden table lamp with gold leaf, datable to the mid-1800s There are exquisite, meticulous wood decorations all over the lamp, with vaults and floral motifs typical of the period. It presents in excellent condition for its age and the normal signs of wear. There are still some holes from old wood-borers; an ancient restoration has been carried out, but the gold leaf was left only on the front to maintain its original state, as the back is visible in raw virgin wood. A recent, functional electrical system is present and can be removed if you wish to display it solely as a rare antique piece. This lamp is 51 cm tall and 16 cm wide and was kept by an Italian private collector. Happy bidding!
