Del Prado fighter planes of the world - Toy airplane Del...

A piece of history in miniature Imagine a collection that isn’t just toys, but a quiet witness to the history of aviation. These Del Prado models from the legendary Aircraft of the Aces / Fighter Planes of the World series were produced between 1999 and 2001. More than a quarter of a century ago they saw the light of day—and that makes them genuine antique collectibles today. In their original clear plastic boxes they lie exactly as they came from the factory: the mighty Boeing B-52 Stratofortress, the futuristic Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, the pride of the Battle of Britain—the Hawker Hurricane, and the dreaded Messerschmitt Bf 109. Each model is carefully crafted from sturdy die-cast metal with fine plastic details, ready to tell the stories of heroes and legendary battles. From the propeller-driven aircraft of the thirties and forties to the strategic bombers of the Cold War and the innovative tiltrotors of modern times—this collection brings nearly a century of aviation together in one display case. They are not just models. They are antiques. They are history you can hold in your hands.
