Decorative ornament - Lomonosov - Firebird (Жар-птица)...

This object is a musical porcelain wine decanter manufactured by the Imperial Porcelain Factory (historically known as Lomonosov or LFZ) in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The design, originally created by sculptor Eduard Krimmer, depicts the mythical Firebird (Жар-птица), a majestic bird from Slavic folklore, hand-painted with intense reds and high-karat gold details. A unique and fascinating feature of this mid-century vintage piece: the bird's head is the stopper. Important: it cannot be opened. If opened, it would emit a melodic sound or a whistle resembling the bird’s song when pouring liquid through its beak, thanks to the internal air-channel structure. No Damage The decoration is completely hand-painted, with a vibrant palette in red, black, white, and gold, typical of Lomonosov export pieces. The geometric motifs and ornamental plumage, the generous use of gold leaf, and the high-gloss enamel finish stand out. On the base retains the original seal ЛФЗ – MADE IN USSR, a guarantee of authenticity and origin. Secure PRO shipping, using high-quality packaging material.
