ew Series – Multiplicity David Law Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary images Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later, drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, challenging our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Multiplicity Multiplicity explores the multiplication of a female silhouette to infinity. Repeated, superimposed and consumed by backlight, the figures become a moving graphic material. Faces disappear, leaving only bodies, shadows and lines. A hypnotic vision where the individual transforms into a multitude. Edition & Production Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated back mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum panels, with a flexible UV- and moisture-resistant laminate, ensuring excellent durability, long-term stability of colors and a modern, contemporary rendering. Biography Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the designated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops a literary and musical body of work including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
