ew series – Multiplicity David Law Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary imagery Multidisciplinary photographic artist, author and musician, David Law develops a body of work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first became known for a series dedicated to window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continued this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New series – Multiplicity Multiplicity explores the multiplication of a female silhouette to infinity. Repeated, superimposed and absorbed by backlighting, the figures become a moving graphic material. Faces disappear, leaving only bodies, shadows and lines. A hypnotic vision where the individual transforms into a multitude. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 Artist’s Proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are produced on aluminum with an integrated rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with a soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, long-term stability of colors, and a modern and contemporary appearance. Parcours Since 2014, David Law has participated in about twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and across Europe. He is also the photographer and videographer of choice for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual activity, he develops authorial work and music, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
